Your records stay on your phone

Everything you record in People Timer — subjects, timers, counts, ratings, categories and goals — is stored on your device. You do not need an account to use the app, and without one nothing you record leaves your phone.

Syncing, only if you sign in

If you choose to sign in, the app keeps a private copy of your records on this server so they can be restored to a phone. They are tied to your account alone and are not shared, sold or used for anything else.

Signing out leaves your records on the phone untouched. To have the server's copy deleted, email us and we will remove it.

Crash reports, only if you opt in

Crash reporting is off until you turn it on in Settings. When it is on and the app crashes, it sends the error message, where in the code it happened, the app version and the operating system. A report carries no account, no device identifier and none of your records.

Diagnostic logs, only when you send one

A signed-in user can choose to upload the app's diagnostic log to help investigate a problem. It is sent only when you press the button, and it records app activity and errors, not the contents of your records.

What we do not do

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, and no third-party software development kits that collect data. The server sees your network address when you connect, as any website does; it is used to limit abuse and is not stored with your records.

Notifications

Countdown alerts are scheduled on your phone by the app itself. No notification service or server is involved.

Children

People Timer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions or deletion requests go to chronologist@peopletimer.app.
